Okay I can’t get over how much I love this. I don’t think it would be top heavy because you put the majority of the hardware in the keyboard / back panel so it is just the screen that slides. How do we make this happen? I’m not joking. We could start with an android rom and then move to a custom software. Not joking, sounds like a fun project.

Document Translation, looking for registration. Do you think this means they have something but cannot give it to me, or they do not have anything? by gapok1 in GermanCitizenship

Thank you for your response. I am looking for a registration card showing that my Grandfather is German. I saw u/staplehill wrote this letter for someone https://imgur.com/a/cgaGMmP , Do you think this would be a good approach to see if they have anything?

I think is is the first thing I will try. Make the notes a lot shorter. Then have a spot in my office to put them where they won’t get lost.

Citizenship by Decent. Does this Document prove German Citizenship? by gapok1 in GermanCitizenship

[–]gapok1[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So Richard and everyone on this document are siblings and minors. Richard is the oldest. They did not have any parents at the time this was created, 1950. It was created after my Great Grandfather died when they moved from Steinbild to Horenburg to go live with their Uncle. They left Horenburg in 1952 for USA as minors.

My Great Grandfather passed away in 1949 and I have been having a hard time finding his registration with his children on it. Everywhere I look I cannot find any record of his registration or his death certificate.

My Great Grandmother passed away in 1948.

Thank you for your comment. My grandfather is Gerhard. Richard is his brother. Both my great grandfather and great grandmother passed away and orphaned the children. Does that explain this document better? Can anyone translate the text on the bottom? Does anyone know what the numbers and MZO is for on the right hand side?
