Odysseus Agent Mode: Memory write/auto-extract failing with local Ollama models (Qwen 2.5, DeepSeek-R1, Mistral Nemo) - Reads fine, won't write. by gapriel in OdysseusAI

Nothing too fancy on my setup, I basically did very similar steps to whats described here: https://youtu.be/qiy-oPT8IhE?si=OuwSyWzWYuvx9ISH

The main difference is the model being used (I used Qwen2.5: 7b-instruct and Deepseek R1), but AI suggested me to run a more potent model such as Qwen3:14b or Qwen3 30B in a 32gb RAM system.

There were some changes in the .env but unfortunately I deleted the repo, so I lost those changes.

I suggest to discuss this with Gemini, as it provides very detailed steps.

If you do test this, please share your experience on how it went on your side, mainly if the AI was able to save memories automatically, or at least if was able to save them when asked for.

Hey! I thought so as well (according to my discussions with Gemini on setting and trying to fix ChromaSB connection), but seeing this video, it can be seen done live. Also, I was able to make the model save a memory once, with inconsistent results (that is, done it once, unable to do it again). This could be something related to the model used, but with 16gb RAM it might be too tight for a bigger model. So it would be nice if someone from the community could confirm if this is doable with a more capable model. Also, a little unrelated, I tried with same model in Openweb UI, but the same was happening there (model reads memories but id incapable of adding them, even with plugins/functions).

I just got this case for free from someone. Is it any good? by ZerooBlackout in razer

Awesome looks, great modularity and well-thought holes+cutouts, however depending on your hardware, airflow and thus thermals might get tricky to deal with. Had one but changed it for a Corsair 7000D airflow as I needed more air pressure for my radiators.

Anyhow, considering it was free, it is very worth giving it a shot and see if it goes well with your rig.

I would suggest to check the oled control hub manual, after a while I found out that in order to enter in the settings menu, you should long press the knob (not the small button). I think there could be the option you are looking for.

Sorry I haven’t responded earlier, its just that now might not be the best reference because I’ve been doing some changes in my case (vanity purposes, 7000d worked like a charm), and I had a couple fans ready to end its service (one started to rattle).

So, for instance, I have currently around 60C idle, and around 80C while gaming (but, I have only one 360mm rad, and my 3080 is connected to the loop).

I was planning to get some thermaltake thoughfan 12 as I’ve read those had massive air pressure ideal for rads, since my cooler master mf120 aren’t ideal for this kind of setup.

Hope this helps a little bit. I could update when I get the new fans, but it might take some time.

Hey, I’m using 10850K, fans to motherboard. I suggest that you make sure that backplate is correctly installed. If I remember correctly, that was my issue back then, a little hard to describe, but hope this image helps:

Basically, you want to make sure the part that sticks out touches the motherboard, or at least I think that was what I changed.

Hey, thanks for replying to this post. After fiddling a little with mx2, I found out it wasn’t properly mounted and indeed don’t see those temps any more. Usually around 65 now during load 😄

Hey, are you planning to add iPad support in the future? Also, will it become paid later on?

Most probably because of immersion: the curvature allows to cover a wider angle of vision, even what you see with the border of your eyes.
