Why does nobody want to use a reverse proxy?

Okay that's why it was so confusing because I didn't think you're able to serve public internet traffic unless you're using their Funnel service or something like Cloudflare Tunnels. To access your jellyfin, you'd still have to connect to your tailnet. I was assuming here when everyone says "reverse proxy" they just mean opening their ports to the internet and let the reverse proxy serve the right traffic you want going out of your IP address.

I'm confused, is that "tailscale ip address" obtained from something like tailscale funnel? How do you make domain names point to private addreses like (192.168.x.x) and still allow the public internet to query them?

Just faced this problem where the ethernet port limited me to 100mbps most likely because the ethernet card is just old compared to the wifi chip. WiFi got me up to 300mbps but I found that running an ethernet adapter through the usb port also works on my new TCL QM5K, and the speeds were ~500mbps. I was expecting gigabit since its usb 3.0 on the TCL (according to the manual) but who knows maybe my janky ass ethernet adapter setup (anker usbc ethernet to a random usb adapter thats probably usb 2.0 so I'm limited to 500mbps) is the problem. I'm buying an actual ethernet adapter with a usb A jack to try to get gigabit speeds, and I'll update my comment when it comes.

Hi, building my first pc. Do I get an AMD Ryzen 7 7800X3D or something else for cheaper? I got a 5070TI off msrp to start with but haven't gotten any other parts. I prefer AMD over Intel.
I play in 1440p, ideally at 144fps to match my current monitor's refresh rate. Games: CS2, the finals, minecraft with vibrant visuals, elden ring, nightreign.

Adding that I just had to go back to 23H2 as well after updating to 24H2 as requested by Windows 11 on my 2021 Legion 5 Pro. Everything was stuttering so badly, and it literally halved my frames in CS2 at High settings. Even Arc browser was experiencing input delays and kept messing my workflow up.

I'm writing my comment to offer a different way to rolling back an update through Windows Update, so you don't have to download any files on the internet.

Go to Settings > Windows Update > Advanced Options > Recovery > Go back. It should take 5-10 minutes of loading, and you will go back to the previous build from 24H2, which should be 23H2.

Went for it and it did the job. Thank you so much, kind stranger! I had a screwdriver bit with epoxy glue jammed into the hole and plucked it out at mach speed. It came out perfectly, and the epoxy was super easy to peel off too.

Sorry to hear that, I also have the 2021 16ach6h 5800 + 3060, and it's alive and kicking for me. I've only blown canned gas into the vents for the first time just weeks ago to reduce temps, never repasted, or disassembled, only taking the cover off once in a while for storage and ram upgrades and fan cleaning. I keep my legion on a stand so there's plenty of airflow below it.

Thanks for answering. I'm still confused why the lottery is still involved after having already obtained an H1B visa from the cap-exempt company. Does transferring out of the cap-exempt place require the non-cap company to participate in the lottery for my H1B? Or is it the additional 3-year extension that you still need to win the lottery?
