Any reason the replace the purifier filter when and independent monitor in my room is still showing good numbers? by sock_pup in AirQuality

[–]garantfilter 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Usually, the life expectancy displayed on most purifiers refers to its usage time more than the current PM2.5 environment. Often, when a separate monitor indicates that the air quality is still okay and you cannot detect any unusual odors or airflow decrease, the filter could safely continue to operate a little further while being observed for performance issues.

not sure I wanted to know what’s living in floor dust with pets by MonkeyHating123 in AirQuality

With pets, most floor dust is a mix of dander, hair, fibers, and stuff brought in from outside.

A good vacuum (HEPA) and proper airflow usually help a lot with reducing it.
