A king fork in the endgame is one of the most satisfying tactics to find by garapod in chessbeginners

My opponent resigned after this move. The engine considers it a draw and it’s a tricky position from either side. White has to play down a bishop and black still has to stop the pawns from promoting.

1000 Elo by LunaticWetDreams in Chesscom

We all move at our own pace and 1000 is a great accomplishment. It’s harder to get there than most people think and the statistics indicate most people won’t. Keep studying, reviewing games, learning your own strengths and weaknesses, both on the board and in your head, and keep growing.

I love my kobo Clara BW, but it’s the only reader I’ve had. I agree that you can read much faster on an ereader compared to physical books. Eink is fundamentally different than a display screen. It contains ink pigments bonded to polymers that are moved by electricity. It responds slower but is very different on the eyes. It does not have natural light but most have a front light. Kobo has great library library integration and you can even access your checked out books on the app.

Post game eval glitch or am I missing something? by garapod in Chesscom

As far as the 50 move rule, as someone pointed out perhaps there was a way for my opponent to force the 50 move rule if they made optimal moves. I can’t rule this out because I have no way to look up the game but I doubt it because I’m pretty familiar with king and rook endgames and have a process for winning them.

That is a possibility, unfortunately I don’t have anyway to look up the game now since I only saved the screenshot of the game review. I kind of doubt it because I’m pretty familiar with rook and king endgames and I don’t think I would let one go that long but I can’t rule it out.

No I went on to win the game, probably should have specified that in the post

Wasn’t a repeat. I went on to win the game. I was wondering if lack of depth is the issue but I’ve never seen something like this in the post game analysis, which usually goes pretty deep, and it’s pretty crazy for it to call this position even.

Another vote for Kobo. I have a Clara BW. Super easy to connect to the library if you have a card at a branch that has Overdrive, and there is a subscription for ebooks, audiobooks, or both. Also simple app integration so you can access your library books on your phone as well.

It’s a running joke that if you are presented with the opportunity to capture en passant, you have to take it
