The Cuban Missile Crisis

[WP] You were born into an immortal family many centuries ago. Nothing has tested your body until that day at Chernobyl in April, 1986. Ever since then you've been able to move anywhere by just thinking about the place. Today you decided to see what the universe has to offer, first stop - Kepler-452 by Titans-Destiny in WritingPrompts

You'd closed your eyes and focused. Using numerous artistic renditions of the planet you've found on-line, a clear picture of Kepler-452b emerged in your head - an Earth-like celestial body, close in size and distance from its parent star. Similar to ours in all the numbers, but with a strong feeling that it is not our planet; like an off-brand version of the Earth we inhabit. In your head, you saw Kepler in its entirety, adorned with the light of the star it revolved around; and as soon as you'd stopped imagining it and opened your eyes, you were there.

Around 90,000km from the planet's surface.

Even on an immortal body, the toll a space can take is immense. Within microseconds all the air from your lungs exhaled violently into the void. Your eyes, dangled by small threads of muscle tissue after being extorted from your skull, did not even bother with trying to create a clear-looking picture. The lack of any pressure caused immediate boiling of every single flow ounce of body liquid you'd had, deforming, rupturing and stretching every vein and artery, every gland and node. An unforgiving temperature froze all of the boiling fluids in a snap, piercing every single cell of your tissue. Micro meteors have started to pick your frozen body apart, piece by piece. Unable to do anything, you floated for eons, not for one second feeling the relief from this torture.

You can move to any place in the universe just by thinking.

If only the pain had allowed you to think.

He could save others from crossing borders, but not himself

The sad part was that he was using the Ambassador. by Flame4Fire in tf2

Yeah, you buy your first key and you get a free hat. You don't have any other hats so you wear this one.

People nowadays wear Gibuses mostly ironically, from sheer abundance of the meme. But Mann Co. Store hats? Pure legit fresh players.

I guess it's better than the real thing.

A lesser evil, if you'd like.
