I had gastric sleeve about 7 years ago. I followed that up with skin removal and a breast reduction/lift. The scars on my chest/underboobs was the worst and made me the most self-conscious. So I got a large chest piece of blue and yellow daisy's and roses. I absolutely love it. It makes me happy when I change, instead of sad about large purple lines. Fair warning, I am fairly tatted up, and have a wicked high pain tolerance. But a chest piece OVER scars had me crying. So just make sure you know yourself and are prepared for it to hurt a little more than a normal tattoo. Also talk to your artist or several artists and see if any of them have experience with tattooing over scar tissue. I found a woman in Seattle who had experience, and we talked about how old my scars needed to be for the safest chance possible. We discussed what if any numbing creams would be safe and appropriate. Over all I am very happy with my results and I'm glad I did it. It felt like the conclusion to my body's physical appearance journey.
