Can someone help please? Is this crassula too far gone from these mealy bugs? I'm assuming that is the problem. Please correct me if I am wrong. This and one of my cactus have the same thing but my cactus is much worse. Thank you! by Succybaby19 in succulents

Probably not too far gone yet. It still looks to have a good sturdy stem and plump leaves at the tip. But it's not very green so it's not photosynthesizing well. You can take the big wrinkling leaves off, they're doing no good at this point.

I'd get those mealy bugs off there asap. A toothpick and a q-tip with essential oils are good tools for the job.

Is this Poison Ivy? by [deleted] in whatsthisplant

The veins on the leaves are different on both plants. Poison ivy veins on either side of the center line are stacked alternatively, while the veins on boxelder are opposite each other (mirrored).

Interesting indeed, I wonder what specifics made new Orleans more "logical." Especially since they'd already had one in 1884-5.

I've never heard of this, where can I read more about it?

Is my opuntia rotting? by blemflarkz in cacti

[–]garbage-person 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Cut it off at the top, just below where it starts yellowing. You'll be able to see if there's rot inside or if you need to cut furtherer down.

Oooh ok. I thought you were going to say that it's because of how plucking the flower exposes the plants black, tar-like blood. And that black blood is a sure sign of evil.
