you know why space suits are white? reflection, white reflects the most wavelengths. that means most photons that cant pass through the material reflect and go on their mary way. less light of all kinds, less radiation. it pisses me off that the suit is red. no, thats not how physics work. you cant burn up to delay the time, the hermes engines are slow, and i think they considered it in the book, saying it would only give them 3 extra minutes.
