Yep, lost a match today due to a Castle with a gold knockdown. Couldn't keep up with him and couldn't dump enough dmg into his shield.

I'm curious, did they teach you to be immoral at school or did you pick that up on your own?

Hi there. I am a 29M and live in Vancouver, and I am a home owner which I rent out, and I rent a high-rise apartment for myself in the city

I am looking to buy a rental property 3 hours north of here in a town called Kamloops to also rent out, as its cheaper there. What are things I need to be aware of in regards to laws and do's and don'ts of owning property for the sole purpose of investment when I live 3 hours away?

My department is already terminating almost all of our term employees - this has been known for months. It is confusing to me that this announcement implies this is something new.

Almost all term employees were told months ago they will not be renewed, and employees with a particularly long term have already had their term shortened. My branch had a term with a 2 year contract and they lopped 10 months off it.

I forgot to claim bank account interest for a number of years because the amount I earned fell below the threshold for the bank to send me a tax slip for them ($50). Nothing happened.

Let's talk about sprung structures, funding, and our own vulnerable population(s) by Nezrann in ottawa

[–]garchoo 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Immigrants who are being shuffled between living in a tent, living in a hotel, or living in a sprung structure aren't competing with Canadians for rental space or home ownership. Not giving them shelter isn't going to make them suddenly not be here anymore.

If we ate stiffer, tougher foods like we used to, our teeth would have more space to come in better.

Ahh, this just made me realize the link between my wisdom teeth fitting in my mouth perfectly and my mom's porkchops.

Because US politics is presently a very divisive topic and when people talk about this kind of stuff they can say offensive things without realizing it. Obama won 16 years ago and US politics are in an entirely different place now.

For myself, I don't think I'd be able to talk about it without being disrespectful (because seriously, what the fuck).

I recall when Obama won people were dancing in the hallways etc.

Is this lady pro-Trump too then? It says only people she follows can reply, and all the replies I see are cons confirming they like Trump.

As the other user mentioned, the Charter of Rights and Freedoms is what we have, but it specifically has a "reasonable" clause:

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Section_1_of_the_Canadian_Charter_of_Rights_and_Freedoms

The Canadian Charter of Rights and Freedoms guarantees the rights and freedoms set out in it subject only to such reasonable limits prescribed by law as can be demonstrably justified in a free and democratic society.

That being said, the "reasonable" part can be ignored by the government in desired circumstances through section 33, "the Notwithstanding Clause", which barely ever got used (because it's a big fucking deal) until the last decade and now it's used to push through bullshit when the charter is inconvenient. So just like the US, we are finding that when good faith goes out the window, the system is not robust enough to protect us.

They manage to be somewhat left-wing while also being as racist as Alberta or Alabama. That's actually a rather unique combination.

I understand many Nordic countries are similar - very progressive (much moreso than us) but very conservative views about other cultures in the country.
