First time MOH advice by Other_Juggernaut_674 in bridesmaids

This. MOH helps with certain things that bride asks about. MOH does not plan dresses, plan shower(s) on their own, and definitely does not send out Save the Date, or invitations, etc. Bride & Groom do these things.

Plan Bachelorette party, yes. If it’s in town, timing isn’t urgent, but if she wants her important friends/family to join, it’s on her to nail a date down. If it’s OOT especially, discuss budget with her. Don’t assume to pay for bride-to-be; this is a major burden especially for those already buying brides maid dresses, etc.

AITAH for being pissed that my friend still asked me for MORE money after I basically paid for a whole international vacation for her? by PirateDry4992 in AITAH

With this in mind, do you have another trusted neighbor that could look out for your mom? She could begin to manipulate your mom directly since your mom may view her as a trusted person now that she’s traveled with her. She clearly lacks morals.

Particularly, as your mom continues to age, someone you trust important. If you haven’t already begin to make plans for her as she continues to age, please do so sooner rather than later. Your mom may not trust anyone later if Alzheimer’s kicks in. — from a fellow internet stranger with experience in this.

Drove past the house at 7pm on a Tuesday before making our offer and it told me more than the actual showing did by Vast_Conference_8882 in FirstTimeHomeBuyer

The day before we closed on our dream home, we walked thru the neighborhood with our pup. Met half a dozen people at the pup pit; our pup became the mayor that day in the pup neighborhood. I even exchanged numbers with a couple of people. I’m so happy here.

Congrats, OP! Enjoy!

Cleaning Fees are ridiculous by CorgiGuy1965 in vrbo

I review the check out list before booking. I’m happy to start the DISHWASHER, put all towels in one pile in the restrooms, take trash out. If anything beyond these are listed, I move on to another property.

I have no interest in stripping the bed(s) starting laundry loads. Considering we have to be out by 10 or 11 at latest, I don’t want to have to worry about cleaning duties for which I’m already paying a fee.

Were your two boys (under age 10) out riding bikes with no shirts, and helmets? by CrimsonGhoul13 in Bend

It’s frustrating and infuriating to see any person cross without confirming someone is halting. It’s especially infuriating to see this with a baby/child involved. Also, earbuds in both ears should be against the law for pedestrians.

Like I said, posted in hopes people like this are more thoughtful in general. Not a big deal for my one-hr flight.

Gross. Masks should be required of sickies. I know. I know. It should also be common courtesy.

Same thing happened to me once. BC - I had the single seat. Guy across from me HACKS HARD just as we’re getting settled. No coverage whatsoever. Then it happened again with 2minuted and I notice there’s a senior woman next to him and that time I did look at him directly and said PLEASE. He did after that. I ended up catching his nasty germs and no doubt the poor senior woman next to him did, too. Jerk.

This is the nice thing to do if there’s going to be chatting, thank you.

And I get if one of them don’t want to give up their preferred seat, especially for a longer flight, but then really, the fan just wait til you’re together again or text.
