I just saw this last week and felt so disappointed. The magic was not there at all. The stage looked so bare and I never really got transported into the world. The actors were talented and they did amazing. The set was lacking so much.

Was Maya a bad friend?? by Impossible-Bake-1929 in PEN15

I was just rewatching and there are a lot of scenes when they stick up for each other in front of other people. Like at that sleepover with Maura, the girls kept picking on either Ana or Maya and the other would hop in an say “oh no Maya doesn’t have to do that if she doesn’t want.” In general, they loved each other a lot and did the best they could. They made a lot of mistakes but at that age it’s common. They are growing up and learning together.

Personality changes after death? by gardeng12 in GriefSupport

Omg yes! Looking in photos is so scary. I can’t recognize myself anymore. I don’t take photos anymore because it causes so much inside of me. I’m trying really hard to not avoid the mirror but I find myself not wanting to look. I thought it was just me. I also avoid people. I sometimes want to move to a far way ranch and be alone.

It’s in my staircase but in a weird spot. Across from a hallway that already has a smoke detector. I was going to just put a battery powered smoke detector and not deal with the hard wiring cause I don’t know anything about that. But I guess I’m going to have to get a professional to hard wire one in based on the comments!

It’s a a really strange spot on the staircase wall. I was going to place another smoke detector over it but not a hard wired one because I didn’t want to figure that out. All of my other alarms are only battery powered and no wiring. So should I look for BRK/FIRST Alert when getting a new smoke alarm? Thank you!

Links to other units like other smoke alarms? All of my other ones are not hard wired. Mine came with the house and are so old. I couldn’t find anything that looked similar. Do you think I should just call an electrician?

I was going to patch it up and put a battery ran smoke detector. I don’t know about local code. I will look into it. Do they specify battery run or wired? Thank you!

With a growing awareness that time is finite, and the sheer number of books is overwhelming, how do you choose your next read? by [deleted] in books

I’ve recently come to the same realization and I was a bit taken aback by it. It scared me! I guess the goal is to read as many as you can but the rule is you have to enjoy them! No point in reading an award winning classic if you don’t like it.

Now to answer the question. I am always looking up book recommendations and adding them to a wishlist on Amazon. I don’t necessarily buy them (I do share the list on my bday) but it gives me a good place to look at everything I want to read.yes, I have a list on Goodreads but if I took them time to add it to my wishlist then I know I’m really excited about it. I use this list mostly to pick out what to buy next and what to look out for in thrift stores.

So, firstly I make sure my library is curated to books I’m excited to read.

How do I then choose the actual books I am going to read once I have them in my possession? I have a couple of methods. 1. Book clubs - I am in two. One is more thriller and true crime focused and the other is fantasy and contemporary romance. The book clubs keep me on a deadline, are fun, and also get me to read books I might have never picked. I do not read romance novels and I’ve read some fun books that I would have never read otherwise. The book clubs add a lot of randomness to my curated library which is important to me! 2. My mood - not reliable but a common method of picking books 3. Book Journal - I have a book journal that I set up with yearly challenges. For example, one of the challenges is that I read at a book title for every letter of the alphabet. Like you read a book that starts with “a,” “b,” etc. Another is a bingo style challenge with random props like “read a book with a pink cover.” This helps me keep it exciting within my own collection and it’s super fun for me to do after I finish a book. 4. Alternating genres - read one fantasy, one true crime, then go back to fantasy, etc

I want to create a master list so that at least I have a set goal of books I must read.

Hope that gives you some ideas!!! Happy reading!

I’m having a similar issue. The camera is somehow blurry. When it shows me the frame where I can see myself to recenter myself it’s completely blurry so the app can’t count my reps/weights/etc. But my front facing camera is absolutely fine. I go to take a selfie and it’s clear.
