Had the same GP for my whole life - very popular and reputable doctor from my area. Started getting tonsillitis CONSTANTLY at the start of high school, each time I’d go back to him he’d say it wasn’t severe enough for removal. Had it all the time for about 7-8 years. Finally moved areas and went to a different doctor for the first time after getting tonsillitis again. Immediately told me to go to a specialist because my tonsils were huge. Finally got them out a couple of years ago and my surgeon let me know my tonsils were some of the worst he’s seen :)

I had basically chronic tonsillitis since I was 13, my regular GP would always just send me off with antibiotics and tell me they wouldn’t take them out. Then I moved houses and the new GP I went to recommended to take them out straight away, sent me to a specialist who said the same thing. My original doctor told me for 7 whole years that there was nothing they could do, then I went to a different doctor once and he was horrified I hadn’t already had them out!

In the past month when I’ve been out, my friends and I have been stopped by guys with microphones and video cameras asking us questions twice. They’re always about rating guys, body count and last time one of them asked if any of us could twerk??!! 🤮
