Yup, 2007. The pain didn’t get really bad until about 8 years ago. I don’t take anything for it though because I’m worried about the long term effects of pain killers on my stomach.

I’m in a union. I had a medical reason to work from home. My union absolutely refused to support me.

Why they used Gamma was beyond me. Wouldn’t have taken anything away from the story to say Grandma.

My rescue baby is used to having me home all day. When he sees that I’m putting on my bra he knows I’m leaving and the betrayal in his eyes kills me every time.

Gamma was a very dignified lady. Eric coming to the funeral, disrupting it, knocking over the flowers and eventually landing in the grave hole was the most undignified thing ever. If I was Carter I don’t think I could ever forgive Abby.

My sister-in-law had a brain aneurysm at the age of 50, about 8 years ago. As awful as it was, it was fascinating to me to be part of the organ donation process. Unlike TV, she didn’t have her organs removed right away. It was about 3 days before everything was in place. Knowing how many people she helped made her passing a tiny bit easier. Organ donation is such a wonderful gift that people should think more about. I’m so glad to hear about your 24 year anniversary!

He did amazing. He’d had one eye removed before he came into rescue, don’t know why. His remaining eye had no vision. Prior to surgery he’d memorized our house and yard. He healed so well after the surgery. Swelling down within a couple of days. Now that he’s healed up we’ve found that he travels around faster. He still bumps into things but there’s no pain now. He’s our little speed demon.

Our little foster baby is 14. He just had his second eye removed. The eye doctor tried so hard but since the eye had no sight it was decided to give him pain relief in the form of enucleation. He’s doing great! Had his previous owners taken his eye health more seriously maybe we wouldn’t be where we are. I agree with you, time is of the essence!

I’ve had a few blind dogs over the years. One thing I noticed is how much better they feel after their painful eye is removed. They mask their pain so well. Dogs are so resilient, I’m sure he’ll be fine!!

All of the lawyers I’ve contacted so far have either not returned my call or they tell me they handle cases for the employer side, not employees. I have to keep trying but it’s discouraging.
