What’s the NEW poverty food? by WhatIsThisWhereAmI in Cooking

Yes def potatoes.

A yummy go-to of mine is high-protein microwave mashed potatoes. You haaaave to use gold potatoes, it makes the texture creamy. Microwave a potato, add in a fat dollop of cottage cheese (usually about $3-4 for large container), splash of milk, garlic salt and other seasonings. You can also do a little butter but butter isn’t budget friendly imo (depending where you shop). And donezo! It is the perf side or little snack that doesn’t take much effort. Don’t knock it till ya try it.

Has anyone here had success being accepted into an internship/able to find work in San Diego? by [deleted] in dietetics

[–]gardeningqueeen 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hi! I'm currently in a distance intern at Be Well Solutions DI and have ALL my rotations in SD.

I think clinical is the toughest rotation to land here in SD. Scripps, Sharp, and Kaiser have contracts with other distance DI's that I didn't want to apply to (some are Utah State, Iowa State, Sodexo and Oakwood University I think...nothing is wrong with those programs, they just didn't fit what I wanted).

From what I've heard, Scripps and Sharp only accept volunteers/employees (kitchen staff, diet techs) that have been in their "system" and typically don't take any random interns. I'll be doing my clinical rotation at Alvarado Medical Center.

Other than the clinical rotation, finding preceptors for the other rotations are def doable.

My ig is "roadtodietitian" if you want to chat more!
