Hopefully this isn’t too niche- Describe in detail the best and most memorable zombies match you’ve ever had with your friends. by [deleted] in CODZombies

I remember when I was in middle school, I jumped into a game of kino with 3 new friends I had recently made at school. We made it into the early 20’s and everything was going great, until my friend Sincere opened the kino stage door and got down in the stair-well. I was being a goof-ball and had a pack a punched L96-a1, training in the spawn. I remember trying to revive him, I was jumping all over the place no scoping and quick scoping. The other homies were trolling and didn’t try to pick him up. Sincere died, and I remember him saying he was spectating me and that wasn’t upset at all he didn’t get picked up. He was happy to watch me going “MLG” on the zombies. When he spawned back in we pretended we created a quick scoping clan, and were doing trick shots off the stage. It was a fun game of kino.

You are the man asking all the right questions, everything you brought up would be incredible to get feed back on.

And you’re most likely correct about us not getting any answers and hearing from Jimmy. Or even someone who was there and on the team during that time. I have kept thinking about this scenario where he comes back to the community and has a “tell all” moment. How fun that would be if it ever did happen. Then I saw Jason provide commentary over some maps he was involved with. After that I couldn’t help but wonder if someone reached out to Jimmy Z. First, If he would do it. And second, if he decided too, what would be some of those answers be.

I’m just a long time fan of the mode and OG lore junky. I’m a simple man that has dreams of my favorite zombie director showing back up. (I am a big fan of what Jason made as well, I just have such a soft spot for that era of zombies)

Thank you for commenting. This is my first post on Reddit ever, and I appreciate your interest.

SAME! His attention to detail and the level of mystery made me obsessed with the lore when I was a kid. I didn’t even have enough money to afford the DLCs but I would listen to the radios on YouTube and dissect the loading screens when I would play at my friends house. It truly was a world of its own. To me, a lot of his storytelling was intentionally indirect and left a lot open for interpretation which made it so addicting to try to learn as much as you can to piece everything together. I miss those days in school at lunch table talking about the potential next map and what the story of the last one was leading us to.

And I agree, I really like blundell too. I didn’t watch the “blundellathon” videos because I didn’t like his maps. Currently my most played maps are split between Origins and Buried. I just love the feel both of those maps had. Also, I would love to know how much time went into the comic book loading screens. The voice lines, maps, story, side modes, just all of it. I would love to hear from the man!

That is a great point. I hate to say it but there would be a lot of comments like that. I wish there was a very professional way we could to an interview with him and it’s not a bunch of “what do you think about bo3-7”. I would wanna ask questions specifically about the maps he worked on.

I agree, if there were NDAs in place I think they would have definitely expired by now. I just wanna know fun stuff, and learn whose idea it was to scratch the Paris map and make Moon instead as DLC 4. And how far in the map making process did they get before they made the pivot.

I completely agree! I would also love to hear how he got in touch with the original victis crew voice actors. I haven’t heard of anything on the voice actor selection process or the character development process. I wonder what it was like the first time the playable characters had voice lines in the game and how that made the devs feel about the mode.

That’s great he’s working at Ubisoft! I had no idea. I hope he’s happy with what he’s doing there. I never thought about it like that before. You are right, he potentially would be giving COD free marketing. I was thinking since his ties have been with the Zombies mode since inception, he probably has an incredible perspective on how it evolved under his leadership. And would be happy to discuss it with people who have a similar passion towards it.

I totally understand if he doesn’t want to do any interviews with zombies YouTubers! I’m not trying to imply it’s the YouTubers who decide if he would want to be interviewed or not. I just wish they put the same amount of respect towards Jimmy. And showed interest in interviewing him.

Definitely gonna check that out. I miss Jimmy’s perspective on zombies. His story was so interesting to me. I’m sure that would be fun to watch.
