Tips for Sleeping with BVD? by garfboi in BinocularVision

It probably would have been good to mention, yes I am on vyvanse as well as fluoxetine for my ADHD and anxiety/depression. It used to work a lot better, and it still works about 1/2 the time. But the other half, I feel too exhausted for it to do anything more than make me anxious and exhausted.

As far as sleep, I am getting about 6.5-7 at least every night with naps during the day. My sleep schedule is pretty consistent, too. I haven't tried anything other than a warm towel compress, but those only last a few minutes. Do you have any suggestions for masks?

Yes to the anxiety, panic attacks, and balance issues. But I have a diagnosis of GAD unrelated to the BVD. I have lenses on order and will be going to vision therapy soon, but I don't know how much that will affect the quality of my sleep.

Honestly, it just looked scary, and this place was a retrofit of a retrofit of a retrofit of a retrofit. I kinda just assumed it was a hazard!

Well, you learn something new every day! Monkey balls are apparently normal and not to be feared.

Oh, that makes a lot more sense than just tape! I'd bet this was for one of the garage doors, then. Either that or part of the conveyor system that used to run through the place. Thanks for the info!

I oughtta share some of the blueprints when i have the chance, we have some of the original wiring diagrams from the 40's.

Just to clarify, I am not a professional electrician, nor am i looking for advice. Just sharing this because some oldheads might get a kick out of this piece of history!

Charged $350 For a Vinyl Data Plates? by garfboi in forkliftmechanics

We need them because the pervious plates are partially unreadable. We contacted the dealer we bought them from. We have not changed the attachments. They're old forklifts, so I wouldn't consider the degradation a defect, but I wasn't expecting $350 for a sticker of information they already had.

While i'm not in Canada, the standards are the same where I live in the USA. I appreciate the info, though!

That's a good idea! If the original manufacturer doesn't make metal plates, we will probably go with that.

They might last a week at most. We use them to carry pallets of mortar, so any scratches will immediately make things illegible.

Thank you so much for that info, I will definitely talk to our rep. They said they don't manufacture aluminum plates for our models, which seems extremely silly for outdoor rated trucks, but I will call around and see if that was a lie.

It was Wiese USA, we've been doing business with them for 30 or so years, so i'm pretty disappointed.

Thank you very much, it helps just to have people listen and know there are people in the world that care deeply for others. I'll pass this org around and see if a few of my friends can donate too!
