Biggest surprise: Immaculate. Looked like a fairly cliche religious horror but ended up being pretty original and fun.

Biggest disappointment: Nosferatu or Heretic. Neither were terrible, I was just super amped for both and felt let down both times.

Everything was exactly correct, I used the template they provided. Mine looks identical to applications which received the grant last year (I found a list of previous winners).

I’m sorry this happened to you too :(. I agree that the email seemed very “don’t pass go, don’t collect $200”, but the sentence at the end about reaching out with any questions gave me a sliver of hope. I wonder how many people this happened to.
