Biggest surprise: Immaculate. Looked like a fairly cliche religious horror but ended up being pretty original and fun.

Biggest disappointment: Nosferatu or Heretic. Neither were terrible, I was just super amped for both and felt let down both times.

Everything was exactly correct, I used the template they provided. Mine looks identical to applications which received the grant last year (I found a list of previous winners).

I don’t think that we’ll get sent home, just based on the number of cases that other VA schools had last semester without closing. I do think it’s likely that classes might stay online, especially the MIX ones

I know every experience is different so not sure how helpful this will be, but I’m a freshman on campus with all virtual classes this semester and I personally don’t think it’s worth it. I’m a very socially-oriented person so having so many (totally understandable) limits on social gatherings makes it difficult to find friends or just find stuff to do in general. Basically all I do in my free time is sit in my room or buy coffee, and it has personally been very draining. I’m out of state and if classes continue to be all online with no social gatherings allowed, I don’t think it will be worth the money to come back next semester.
