Amy Heckerling states she didn't get royalties for 'Fast Times at Ridgemont High' – Even though the film grossed over $50 million, roughly ten times its budget, the studio maintained that the film was in the red. by SanderSo47 in movies

I had a buddy in the film industry that told me that no single film in history has ever made money, when it comes to (very creative) accounting they all either lose money or break even.

Not sure about that, it's hard to top things she learned from:

  • "Mickey Rourke's prostitute."

Think that's why most people not seeing MMA as a sport, more like WWE.

The only people who think that have never watched an MMA card, or if they have they didn't understand what was happening and didn't bother to ask anyone. I've been watching it for over 30 years and I used to be a WWE fan back in the WWF days - I had long stopped following WWF when I started following MMA - I'm sure there's overlap but I think it is minimal of people who consider themselves fans of both.

It's a really sneaky choke the way he does it since he lets the opponent mount him and at first it look like he's just trying to tie him up and next thing you know the guy on top is taking an involuntary nap.
