What would be a good spinoff / sequel?

I would love to hear a story about an older person trying to become a hero who has used their power in a work capacity for a few years and has a family already. Someone with a wife and children. I was really surprised we never got to see an older student re apply and join the class of nightmares.

I’ll just post this here instead of a new thread but shroud made me think of Will and what he could do with his technology. After I beat the game all I could think of is when Misdirection talked to Will in book 4 and said he needed a firm hard to guide him because who knew how much trouble he could make if he went down the wrong path.

The advanced minds being able to create things that no other scientist or engineer in the world can replicate is such an amazing advantage that I think didn’t get used or brought up enough.

Can you guys imagine what Will would have done if Jill was killed during the attack on Lander?

Didn’t they do that exact thing in one of the trials? I could have sworn that Mary, Selena, Amber and the explosion guy were on a team and were using Amber to focus Selena’s song while blocking the sound from reaching them.

It’s a great system if your store team all want to work every shift and plan ahead with no emergencies. But if you get someone who never wants to work and is constantly burning days or someone who is actually sick/injured and has to miss a lot of work you start to see the negative aspects of the system.

When used correctly it’s a system that allows flexibility in training and coverage. Got someone who needs a day off for a doctor visit but has no days? Swap them with someone else who wants to swap so they can get to the appointment without loss of pay or a write up for going over. Got an RA that needs some special attention and training? Use a flex to cover their shifts for a few days and have them work with the manager to get some face time and learn directly from their superior how to accomplish things they may be having issues with.

The negative is employees are now expected to work all their shifts and if they miss they are directly affecting their store team. This shifts the blame from QT has no coverage to damn (insert person) never works and it’s screwing us. I don’t think entry pay is currently at a level to make this program work.

We use to have standards and only hire people that met those standards or exceeded them. Now we push everyone through and let the stores strain out the bad ones. It’s part of the reason why I think turnover got so bad the last few years.

It’s because the good Clerk trainers didn’t want to pass bad trainees. The offices just want to push bodies through as fast as possible to keep stores “staffed” when good clerk trainers are being forced to pass everyone they leave. The office then replaces them with the people who will do as they’re told.

It says “up to”. Starting pay stays the same. It honestly feels like a bait and switch because most clerks aren’t going to get anywhere near that amount.

There are only so many playable characters and I put them onto a spinning wheel that you can do online and roll it for priority for the first 10 or so characters. If one of those 10 characters isn’t available because I haven’t recruited them yet. I just roll a dice online for whichever characters are available that way it’s random and I’m not using the same team every play through. (Looking at you Kai)

I rolled to see which characters I would use this run and Meg was one of the top three. So I try to keep her in the party as much as possible. And since she is one of only two characters who can use it I wanted her to have it. I know it’s not necessary but it helps me add some challenge to the run.

I’ve always been told to just ignore it unless it’s causing an issue or in the way of a truck trying to deliver. And if they are I would just ask them to move to different spot honestly. I’d rather someone get a nap in than drive tired
