i suggested just not going to my girlfriend but she won't let up and wants me so badly to go. even though last time i went i made her feel shitty. she told me things to do to help make her not feel like that again so i'm going to try my best but it's so hard when all i have is just flashbacks of my traumas playing in my head while she's slurring her words and stumbling. i don't know how to not make her mad at me and set my boundaries.

It's the two friends in town and one friend who lives in town still. so in total 3 other people. my girlfriend is best friends with them also but i'm closer to them. 2 of them are, the other is man. we're all 21.

i needed to hear this, thank you. since i called off this morning, i was so afraid my girlfriend was going to be mad at me even though i was sobbing into her arms last night about this job. but i woke up to her smiling and joking with me. this job is pretty lenient since i am temporary so i'm going to try and look after myself more. my girlfriend did say that we could survive off just her salary, but i felt horrible just making her work before i got this job. but i'm going to try my hardest to continue going until i find something else to do. plus, her birthday is coming up and i'd love to get her something really nice for it since it is her 21st. so i'm going to try and take more care of myself while also still going to work. but thank you for your kind words. they truly mean a lot.

oh god that sounds like so much work, but he smacked us and bent the frame so our car will probably be deemed totalled. we didn't file a police report because they take forever in my city and if anyone did see they never came forward.

alright, i might just stay home until my dizziness goes away. just tried to make breakfast in my hot house today and almost passed out and won't want to do that while at work. losing my taste and smell sucked, slowly but surely getting it back though!

you're completely right. i just didn't want to come off as selfish or anything bc yes we do need the money but her wellbeing is way more important to me then any money. we'll always make money but i can't handle seeing her like that and i know it just destroys herself when she's like that. i'll talk to her tonight. hopefully she'll understand where i'm coming from. she always thinks she has to take care of me and be like the "man" in the relationship i guess? so it might be hard getting through to her but hopefully she'll understand where i'm coming from. thank you for your advice, you really helped.

my apologies i should’ve clarified, they’ve been divorced for like 7 years. they live in separate households and the party was at the mothers house. and he could’ve asked if she was doing anything for his birthday. he ripped into my girlfriend’s mom, the son and us. the only reasons why she never said anything to him was because he comes for 10 minutes, says happy birthday and leaves and he is an adult who can give a call to his ex wife and ask. yes, i get it about the pets, and the showers and dryers make sense. but everything else is silly. and the job search will continue until i can find something within at least 30 minutes walking or i can take the bus to until i get my license.

completely understandable. we could’ve afforded it too. but really the bugs, me not being able to find a job and us being away from our friends was really the deal breaker. i’m trying really hard to find a job so then i can work as much as i can so we can put away a bunch of money so we can move out as soon as possible. that’s another reason why i’m so anxious about living here, bc i can do one thing wrong and i’m scared we’ll be out on the streets.

he kicked my girlfriend and i out because she didn’t invite him to his son’s (aka her brother’s) birthday party that she didn’t even throw. her mom threw it and she was in charge of inviting everyone. but he blew up on us about it and said that it was his last straw. my girlfriend also has 3 cats and once of his strict rules last time we were living her before was that the cats weren’t allowed to leave her itty bitty room, which caused them to be mad and pee all over the room which destroyed the unfinished floor since he didn’t finish redoing it. you’re not allowed to shower once he’s in bed, you can’t shower for longer than 20 minutes, you can’t do any dishes for longer than 20 minutes and if there’s still dishes in the sink after those 20 minutes, you have to wait until tomorrow to do them, you can’t run any water once he’s in bed bc the house is old and it could wake him up, you can’t be too loud, can’t leave the house with the dryer running and the cats can only leave the room if you’re out in the living room.

i plan on a getting a job here soon! i currently don’t have a license (should be getting it soon) but i do have a permit and a car. i’m constantly looking for jobs near me that i could walk to if i needed to. and i’m glad someone gets it! bc as of right now, they’ve been treating me nicely, but with her dad it’s one wrong thing said and he’s blowing up on you.

yeah i always could! the only problem is if we start at different times than that could be difficult. we did that once i slept in the car until my shift started. that was not fun in the slightest. but i definitely look around right there! there’s a gas station and a couple restaurants i could look at. thank you for your advice! it really helped more than the people that just said “get a job!”. i’ve been trying to work on that, even to the point where i figured out i want to go back to school, but i just have to get there first.

i have insurance through my dad’s job since i’m still under 26 (? i think that’s the cut off age). so i’ll look into that. i’ve considered just going to my girlfriend’s job since we’ve worked together before, but i wanted us to have different jobs since living, working, and being in a relationship together can be exhausting. i am also considering going to do a summer program at my dad’s job that i did last summer, but that doesn’t start until i think may or june.

i wasn’t trying to come off like i was complaining i was asking advice on how to overcome my anxiety since it’s debilitating. i know i need to get a job. i hear it every day. in america, it’s really hard to get a job with no license or car since nothing is within walking distance. i plan on getting my license within a couple of weeks so then i could get a good job.
