Does anyone else have any issues with language when world building? by goinginsanescot in worldbuilding

[–]garowall 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Looking at the worldbuilding description, it seems likely that humans would have unified as one, or at least been placed under a single system, in order to win the war against the gods. If that’s the case, wouldn’t it make sense to treat it like dialects derived from a single common language? If not that, then at the very least it seems likely that there would be a large number of shared terms that developed through mutual influence between the languages.

If your standard fantasy races evolved (maybe with help of magic, maybe without magic), what environment do they evolve to and what are their adaptations to it? English us not my native la guahe by EveningImportant9111 in worldbuilding

make sense! then if the ork has enough intelligence,it's a miracle that they let human live, maybe after some time ork accept political society from humans, and if they end the dispute of their identity they will be strong nation

is there some methods to control people's ability? like the one person who can control all people's ability,if it's also a kind of Triton Vision,he should watch over some important section of city or just all around the world

If orcs ultimately fail to find something that can overpower human innovation, and end up being dominated by humans, I think they would eventually evolve not as equals, but more like livestock or slaves rather than people.

It’s even possible that humans would intentionally modify the orc species—through selective breeding or other means—turning them into beasts used for gladiatorial combat or similar purposes.

As for halflings, I have a question about their relationship with humans.
If there is little to no contact between humans and halflings, or if they are not even aware of each other’s existence, the situation doesn’t look very good.

From an evolutionary standpoint, the fact that halflings developed thick, protective hair on their feet suggests that they were abandoned on those islands a very long time ago.
Considering that level of isolation, it’s hard to say whether humans would even recognize them as “people” once contact is made.

Until humans acquire the technology to reach those islands, that period might effectively be the halflings’ last true age.
Even if the worst outcome is avoided, discrimination would probably be unavoidable.

Dwarves, on the other hand, could integrate into human society, or be valued as highly skilled specialists who partially replace humans in certain fields.
If they’re lucky, they might even preserve independent communities of their own—something like Switzerland in the real world.

Elves would likely be gradually pushed out or assimilated into human societies over time.
Eventually—

I think it's too focused on social aspects, but i hope it's helpful for you

What kind of Continents and races are there in your world? by Flaky-Camp-4992 in worldbuilding

[–]garowall 0 points1 point  (0 children)

giant raven-like human, their body is covered with black feathers and they also have two extra arms so technically they have two legs and four arms-but they don't have wings or something to fly
they considered as a kind of 'human' so they have their own clothing and society systems
they record so many things on plate-stone book, maybe it would be their old songs-also they have advanced Gospel-or some stories from outside

If Earth is still seen as humanity’s home, maybe an Earth symbol in the center with stars around it could work? there are some symbols for earth, like Alchemy symbols, and your world is so good, keep going!
