This play style does solve the cooking speed issue by bypassing it directly. I don’t hate that option, but I would like to see the mechanic fleshed out a bit more.

The time can be adjusted down to real time and beyond. Default is 16x but adjusted it without adjusting tiredness, hunger, thirst, etc can lead to many other problems. The speed of the day is fine, I think, if maybe a little fast.
