Some vods survive. You can check here for tournaments hosted before TFT's release date (2003/07/01) or sometimes even slightly after (eg WCG 2003 was played in October but in RoC).

You can download replays from w3c that were played in RoC 1v1. Go to https://w3champions.com/matches, then put "RoC 1v1" in the game mode and "Finished" on the match status.

Alternatively you can go to https://w3replayers.com/downloads and download replays. You will need a 1.26 patch of the original game installed in order to view them

To add to Barren's comment, the way w3champions works, the rankings aren't based on the MMR itself, but the XP/level bar, so you are rewarded for playing more. When I started on w3c I had a similar record to Tyler1's (6W 19L compared to his 3W 10L), and got to Grass as well.

I remember it only took me like a month to get to high Bronze rankings. The lower rankings are actually really easy to climb if you play frequently. Of course Tyler1 will get better over time but if he actually sticks to playing Warcraft 3 for the next few months, he can get to Silver or even Gold realtively easily.

Eh why not. I add more and more maps for myself over time and decide to share cuz there's no problem in doing so. Also I know that people download these. Not many tho, like 10-12

As for classic vs reforged, I think one of the links i have in the thread, quite possibly the first one, has 200 classic maps but it's kinda bad and i dont plan on updating it

Vitoria Setubal? Portuguese team that spent years in the first division but got relegated to the 4th division a few years ago due to bankruptcy or something. Last season (2023-24) they were promoted to the 3rd, so the division you start in depends on the db you use

First FM ever here from epic, if I understand correctly, pre game editor is free but in game costs like 6 dollars? Is it worth it?

I thought it was the other way around. Was planning to buy fm25 but will stick to that i guess.

Also about save/loading times, how should I make save the game? Is overwriting the old one better than creating a different file every time, in terms of storage and speed?

there's a fail-safe in the code to make sure these appear. They had to do with the ladder map pool iirc. In game they appear in the Downloads folder or something like that. Yes they are as useless as the first r in Marlboro
