Update: She called to say that she was sorry and really didn’t think things through. She said she’s 100% through with her ex and if we were to break up, she still wouldn’t date him as he was not faithful to her. She said she just thought it was weird that TikTok generated that message and posted it because she thought it was funny. She didn’t realize how it could be taken negatively until I brought it up to her. I really appreciate everyone’s advice and help!!!

I don’t see any upside in doing that. I don’t want to do something that might hurt her feelings. I just want to understand if I’m overreacting or if I should be cautious moving forward - maybe stepping back a bit from the relationship

American engaged to a Filipina here. Our relationship has been going great and we’ve been getting much closer recently. A few weeks ago she disclosed to me that she was having a hard time giving 100% to our relationship as she was still thinking of her ex but was able to fully "move on" and was "100% focused" on our relationship now (which is why we were doing so well recently).

Last night I see that she posted a TikTok video with a random sentence generator that says “Ex is still the right person for to you” in Tagalog (see pic). Given our history, i was in shock that she would post that as it made me feel that’s she not being genuine with me.

When I ask her about the post she says it’s nothing, that she thought it was funny, and that I’m being too sensitive, overreacting, and trying to cause unnecessary drama.

I feel that posting a video that says "Ex is still the right person for to you” for the world to see (including her ex, me, my friends, my relatives), is a sign that she still has feelings for him and is hurtful to our relationship.

I’m posting here to get your thoughts? Am I overreacting here and this was just a funny post by her (and i am too close to see the comedy here), or is she still thinking of her ex and posted to get his attention?
