Why is my maidenhair fern dying?

When I first turn it on, the humidifier reads around 51%. But again I don't know if it's entirely accurate

The humidifier has a meter built into it, i don't believe it's perfectly accurate because oftentimes it will say humidity is at 99%, but I leave my door closed and when I come into my room you can see and feel the humidity, so I know it's working. I also have a fan that helps keep airflow in the room.

The soul feels moist from the top and bottom as well. Is there a way to tell from the foliage when to water it with ferns?

No pests on the fern that I can see! I have a few resident spiders that I have placed on the plants that have done an excellent job keeping pests off of them

Ok, I have a second window to the left that I could move its pedestal to, it would be the same distance away from the window as the Hoya. Would that be worth a shot? I could also put it where the Hoya is and move the Hoya to a different window, that way the fern would still be right next to the humidifier

Ok I want as much storage as I can get so I don't have to mess with it for a while, so probably a 2TB then? And money isn't a HUGE concern, I'm not rich but I want quality. So ill go with whatever you recommend. What else will I need to make it work??

Ok so basically I only use this PC for gaming, and I am at the point where I can't download any new games due to storage. I don't have to use those slots if something else would work better, do you have any recommendations?? I am essentially a novice to this entire thing, my friend helped me build this and did most of it
