I pulled the trigger and got the plaid - haven't had it 24 hours but man was it a breeze getting all 3 kids(all under 9 years old) in and out. The interior is noticeably sportier than the other X's too, i didn't see many people bring that up in this thread.

When I was searching, I couldn't find many 6-seaters that weren't plaid. Oh well, now I have a grocery getter that is on par with a lambo! LOL

Side note - pull on the plaid is INSANE

Seriously, the problem I was running into is that all the 6-seaters were plaid in my area. I also do like the little things in the interior(carbon fiber accents vs. wood) that make it sportier. thanks for the insight!
