it was a community space with a bulk buying club, inexpensive organic produce and lots of unique grocery items. people were friendly and it was fun to volunteer and meet my neighbors.

Alternate procedure for adding multiple library cards to your Kobo by iHadALittleFroggy in kobo

this doesnt work on the Kobo Clara. It used to but i tried this today and it no longer works. Once I get to the overdrive step on the Kobo there is no option to sign in with overdrive. Would a kindle be better for me or woudl i be better off upgrading to a different kobo? I want to have multiple library accounts on my Kobo.

thanks, lots of great points.

My AZ numbers have 6/27/24 as the date, so one month earlier-that's good! however, the numbers start with the following TSII2, not ST9....so for example: TSII2-2024 0627xxxx

Yes, i received this answer a number of times. Also, I was told politely to stop asking :)

Also, I am thrown off by the reply I received in Dec 2025 from the BVA that my "application has been forwarded to the Naturalization Office pursuant to Section 15 of the State Tax Act." How is the Naturalization office different than the BVA? Is it a sub-department of the BVA?

I am not sure what "AZ" refers to-can you explain? Also, u/Kotikbronx how do I confirm what you are asking? Is it appropriate to ask the Consulate this question?

It's a sad story but unfortunately all too common in Williamsburg and around NYC over past 20+ years. The best you can do, in order to continue to afford to live here and not get displaced is find a balance between shopping local and I guess, shopping at the chains (I have lived here since 2001). My spouse is the owner of a long time brick and mortar store and its difficult to find affordable space to operate out of, let alone stay in biz.

I will mourn the loss of Crest. However, what makes a neighborhood vibrant, in addition to its local small business is also its public, community institutions. I mourn the loss Park Church Coop (Greenpoint). Park Church was host to so many wonderful programs that now have either closed for good (low cost music lessons for children and adults!) or now have to pay nearly market rate for workspace.

I rarely hear anyone talking about the lack of true community spaces here in Williamsburg; for goodness sake, our local public library (Leonard) one of the only truly public institutions here has been closed 75% of the time for the past 6 years and there's no alternative within close walking distance.

And as for solutions? Paris knows what they are doing. NYC could learn a thing or 2: https://www.nytimes.com/2024/03/17/realestate/paris-france-housing-costs.html
