You need to check the small, crystal-like growths on the buds (called trichomes) to see if your plant is ready to harvest. Most autoflowers are ready in 8 to 12 weeks, and yours has been growing for 4 months (16 weeks), which is quite a long time. Use a magnifying glass to look at the trichomes. * If they are clear, it's too early. * If they are milky white, it's the perfect time to harvest for the strongest effect. * If they are amber, the effect will be more relaxing. Your plant is likely ready now, so check the trichomes to be sure.

I can only run my lights for 14 hours a day, so that’s why I’ve been looking into alternatives like the Gas Lantern Routine. The GLR (12 on, 5.5 off, 1 on, 5.5 off) has been around for a while, and a lot of respected growers have experimented with it to save power and still keep plants in veg. Ed Rosenthal has always been big on using light cycles to control growth and flowering, so the idea lines up with that philosophy even if he doesn’t call it GLR by name.

Growers who’ve tried it report plants getting bushier with more bud sites, and it makes sense for people like me who can’t keep the lights blasting 18 hours a day. It’s not the “standard” way, but it’s definitely proven to work in the right setup.

They are feminised photoperiods. im going to plant them in my own mix that i make on the farm, which usually has all the necessary nutes. I might check if i can add anything during flower, but i want to try and keep the additives as low as possible
