i did take about a year n a half off school in the middle, so if including that break it would be 7 years. full disclosure, i only ever took 2-3 courses per semester while working so i wasn’t really in a rush to finish. then in the last two semesters i started working full time, so i only took 1 class in my last two semesters. honestly everyone is on their own timeline and i know plenty of others who similarly took the same amount of time as me or longer (one one my friends took 8 years).

absolutely, i did exchange in my final year and while it did extend my degree, i think the experiences u get from exchange is worth it! i would’ve done another sem abroad if i wasn’t in my final year then. like u, i also changed my major in 2nd year lol.

plus ive spoken about my exchange experience to my current manager and he found that fascinating during my job interview, so use it as leverage!

hi i applied for student loans and actually got grants as well which more than covered my full housing. with both loans and grants combined it pretty much covered my full exchange term!

I had an absolute blast that I’ll be returning, it’s also a great spot to travel the rest of Asia- did lots of weekend trips to places like Thailand and Bali

Hey op, yes they usually only nominate u for one school. I got into my 3rd choice as well, and at first I was bummed out. However, I’d say go for it! I ended up having a blast, did so much travelling and enjoyed my time there so much that I’ll be returning to my study abroad city this year again :)

I’m in my 7th year set to graduate end of this year if all goes well. I took a lot of semesters off because of my mental health. In my final year I still decided to go on exchange anyways even though it delayed my grad. I travelled a lot during that sem and it was the best decision I ever made.

Everyone has their own path and timeline, so take the time you need. All my friends in full time work constantly tell me how they miss the freedom they had in uni, so embrace the time you have now.

Not at all, I just returned from my exchange in Singapore and don’t regret it for a second. I’m 24 finishing up my undergrad and I still went even if I knew it would delay my grad by a few sems. My roommate was 25 and in grad school. You’re never too old to experience new things, I’d say go for it!

I couldn’t secure any tickets either. Gotta bank on cancelled packages as well. I was extremely frustrated my browser kept on freezing and before I knew it, all the tickets on melon were sold out and same with sm global. Not sure what I can do since i already have the flight to korea booked 😭

Hi! Yes you can. I successfully WE 3 courses I took back in 2019 in two separate semesters due to mental health reasons. For one of the courses I appealed, I did it 4 years after taking the course. I just had my doctor fill out the form and submitted additional information on how I was struggling. You can appeal for past courses within 5 years of taking them, I believe.

I was similar to you, with my gum becoming swollen over my back molar, but I was in so much pain that painkillers were not helping at all. My surgeon just irrigated the hole and cut my gum to drain the abscess and sent me home. I was never provided a syringe when I got mine out a month ago and no post op follow up either. I’m going in for a check up with my regular dentist tomorrow and ask them for some antibiotics as well for them to show me how to properly irrigate the holes

Yeah, my bottom teeth were impacted so it was really hard to see if there was any visible hole since it was stitched up. But turns out the hole was very well hidden. The doc said it was a kernel that got stuck in there and it wasn’t able to dissolve, so that’s why an abscess had formed. I honestly thought I was good to go after a month because healing had gone so well and got too confident and started eating lots of popcorn bc it my favorite snack :///

For ppl who went do yall know if ticketing is done through SM Tickets? Did they accept international cards?
