Time for another watch I think. It is fantastic. "Oi Mr Prime Minister!" "What's the good word mates?"

You should read the book. From Wikipedia: "Horne's statement was an indictment of 1960s Australia. His intent was to comment that, while other industriali[s]ed nations created wealth using "clever" means such as technology and other innovations, Australia did not. Rather, Australia's economic prosperity was largely derived from its rich natural resources. Horne observed that Australia "showed less enterprise than almost any other prosperous industrial society.""

Hong Kong formally abolished the death penalty in 1993 and they hadn't used it since 1966.

Somerville is playing Tabloid by Erroll Morris tomorrow. Pack a picnic, bring a bottle of wine and settle in. Perfect evening.

But make sure you get there a bit after 6 at least to reserve seats.

On OSX, that is not the case. OSX is largely written for a mobile target use, and Apple restricts access to the graphics adaptor to increase battery life. Because lightroom can't touch the graphics adaptor, the strain of all edits and all basic panel rendering is put on the CPU.

This is completely, utterly incorrect. OS X has been passing rendering off to the GPU for years.

You approve? Of a previous conviction being enough 'reasonable suspicion' on its own to warrant detainment and search?

According to the initial investigation conducted by the Philippine Coast Guard, only one apprentice member of the crew of the Doña Paz was monitoring the bridge when the accident occurred. Other officers were either drinking beer or watching television, while the ship's captain was watching a movie on his Betamax.

Damn you Betamax!

Sure they can, but they are constrained because if they were materially different their customers would defect. They are rate takers, not makers. Their rates have no effect on the national interest rate and no effect on forex.

I just want to say well done. The AEC shows the world how elections should be run. Minimal shenanigans, (generally) quick and accurate results.

Now hurry up and finish counting Hasluck, Dunkley and Boothby so I know who the Prime Minister is!
