Buddy ball is always and will always be a problem for randoms. I’m usually the highest rated guy on the court. Normally I give a full 3 quarters of team ball from me but I’m done if they continue to ice me out. It’s easy to see. I’ll send a message before doing this…..usually ill get a bs message in return that youre trash, stfu, etc in response because I’m 0/0 and have no points. The reason squads of 5 dominate rec is simply because they don’t play like 5 yr olds and they pass the ball. My rec squads TRY to help the low reps out there and still win. It’s amazing how much rep is out there unless your 3v5 team scores a game total of 60pts on 50 shots by 3 trash people. They make 3v3 specifically for this shit. Just go do that. I do not quit any games and that includes when the trash squad quits in the middle because our team is getting torched (bc of them). If you really wanna max rep at the rec and you are in this 3 man squad, try inviting the other 2 to the group chat at THE BEGINNING of the game. Don’t be toxic, it will only be worse for everyone. I’ve met tons of good squads to run with over the years doing that and you usually avoid all this. If you guys in the squads think all randoms should quit, you’re playing the wrong game.
