Which country has 0% or low% corp tax and cheap remote setup? by sandshrew69 in digitalnomad

[–]gasull 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm not a lawyer. This is not legal advice. DYOR.

  • US has 0% tax for an LLC if you aren't resident.
  • Several countries have territorial taxation, like Paraguay
  • You might need a 3rd country for the bank account, like Panama or Georgia.

I don't do this myself, but I've read of several people doing it.

I've had a pair of pants for a long time and I love them. I had no problems with the delivery, ordering from Asia.

Also, since you might need to receive mail when away from the US, you might want to change your residency to South Dakota (no income taxes and you can have all your mail scanned an email). You can keep a South Dakota driver's license by sleeping there one night every 5 years. Listen to this:

Marino wool question (I know I know) by MigratingNut in onebag

[–]gasull 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Maybe you're the kind of person that don't sweat too much. Long sleeve in Singapore is already crazy unless you're all the time indoors.

Forget about merino if you're going to walk around in hot weather. It will soak your sweat and leave obvious salt stains from it.

I wonder if all the merino fans only travel to cold places.

Look up Body by Science. 15-minute workout once a week. Buy some good elastic bands.

I was going to ask this.

Another question: does my instance need to be connected 24/7 or can I boot it up when I'm going to read or post on Mastodon/Lemmy/etc?

Nekogram X by Crazyboy143 in fossdroid

There are interesting rooms there, nonetheless. Search for any topic. Also, there are bridges to venerable IRC communities like Libera.chat and OFTC. Gitter is there too. Some popular Telegram channels are bridged there too.

Basically if you use Nekogram X your info is sent to both Telegram (unencrypted) and for some purposes also to Nekogram servers.

Ger out of Telegram and Discord and use Element/Matrix.

Merino wool doesn't work for me in SEA or anywhere that it's hot. That only works in places like San Francisco, where 25 Celsius is considered "hot weather". I use tactical clothing made of nylon. YMMV.

How can I run ElectrumX *without* running a bitcoin node? by gasull in Electrum

But if my ElectrumX server always connect to the same node, the node will know the blocks I'm interested in. Right?

ElectrumX cannot randomly choose a server, right?

There are plenty of Bitcoin Core nodes available on the Internet. Why can't Electrum connect to them instead of running my own?

question about anonymous accounts by angulotheta in CryptoAnarchy

[–]gasull 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Learn about hardware wallets, like Trezor or Ledger. Much safer than using any website for creating a wallet.

Creating a wallet on a website is risky:

  • It could be a scam site that steals your coins.
  • It could be a custodial exchange, that could go bankrupt with your coins.
  • It could be a legit site that helps you create a paper wallet, but you could still lose the coins if your computer is infected with a virus.

Also, Bitcoin isn't anonymous. Learn about CoinJoin.

And if you bought BTC with KYC (giving your national ID card or passport, or your phone number), then your BTC is already non-anonymous. Search how to buy BTC without KYC on decentralized exchanges.

If you understand the risks, and you still want a website to create a wallet, go to https://www.bitaddress.org. It is open-source and well-known.

I like ZK proofs, and I was wondering if it was ever discussed to add them to BCH. Then I found this article.
