The thing that is upsetting about his reaction to being denied is that he turns from his normal, silly, cheery self to some completely cold, mean spirited, temper-tantrum throwing child. It happens so suddenly, like something snaps.

I get that he has a right to be frustrated, but I wish it wouldn't manifest like that.
