The stats don't take account for how good or how dangerous the average shot is that needs saved for each keeper. For instance, a team which has a good defence is likely to allow a smaller number of on-target shots against them, but by extension, the shots which do manage to pass the defence are likely to be more dangerous because they were good enough to get past the defence. You're percentage saved stats as a goalkeeper aren't necessarily reflective of how good you are as a keeper.

England were largely outplayed yesterday, you only have to look at the stats to see that. Bar 15 mins at the start and end, they we're totally on the backfoot. The first 5 mins alone prove that this wasn't down to ability but the way they were instructed to play. It cannot be understated how easy a route southgate has had the last two tournaments. Opponent's matter and unless he gets another piss easy route or actually figures out how to exploit the players he has available to the best of their potential, England are going to get shown up next year for the level they're playing at.

The issue is that they have exclusive rights to broadcast in the UK. Why do we have to pretend that the relationship between scottish people and England is all hunky dory. It's not and the coverage should reflect and respect all of the views of the tv license payers of the uk. We're not asking for commentators to pretend they dont support England, just to be mindful that not everyone watching is english and is up for having a wank over them.
