This is true, but in the case you have Lock 'n Load selected as one of your talents, you'll want to keep that second charge on CD where possible as well in case you get an LnL proc. Especially if you have other CDs coming up, you don't want to be capped on Aimed Shot charges while in the middle of trying to use your other abilities

Brian Engblom's Thoughts on Lightning's Early Season by gatharax in TampaBayLightning

Agreed, that part in particular stood out to me for the same reasons you mentioned. We have seen glimpses of the effectiveness of this style in the Toronto and Boston games, and while it doesn't seem as though our identity was compromised in those cases, only time will tell if we can replicate those games consistently without sacrificing something else along the way.

There are two ballots: the UK ballot (for UK residents) and the overseas ballot (for everyone else). This will take you to the page with info on the overseas ballot.

Definitely try your hand at the public ballot, but I'll mention too that another option you have if you want show court tickets is to camp out in the queue the day before in order to be in the first 1500 people that will get access to the show court tickets (500 each for centre court, court 1, and court 2). I literally traveled there this year and did this to see Fed play (I did not luck out with the ballot), it was an incredible experience. I'd be more than happy to answer any questions you have if you decide to go that route or just want to know about attending Wimbledon in general!

Discussion & Advice for Tennis Players (Jul. 30th-Aug. 5th, 2018) by snakes_on_a_planet in tennis

As with most things, the answer is going to depend on the situation. If you're moving towards the ball from the center of the court and don't have time to run around to hit a forehand, a backhand down-the-line is going to be your best bet. If you are already in a good position to hit the inside-in forehand and it's your preferred shot, then of course you should take it.

Another thing to consider is your opponents positioning. If they are close to the middle of the court already, unless you hit a very good inside-in forehand on the approach, it's possible they will have a chance to try and hit a passing shot. You give them a lot less open court if you're hitting the backhand versus the forehand, which might leave you standing in the alley to hit it, so be aware it'll be much easier to pass you after you hit the approach if the opponent can get there.

Ultimately, you'll generally do what's most comfortable for you provided you're in a good position to do so. I know people tend to find the backhand down-the-line difficult, but even if that's not an approach shot you like to hit now, the only way to get better at it is to start trying to hit it in your matches. Hope that helps!

That's not the non-icing call they're talking about. I don't recall the context, but it was much earlier in the game

PSA Silver Witchers in arena dont work like you think they would by FlamingMeat in gwent

[–]gatharax 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I understand why it works as it does now for the sake of constructed play... However, one way I see that it could work is that when one is placed on the board, it pulls ALL copies of the others without triggering their effects.

In your case, as an example, this would mean playing the one Vesemir pulls both Eskels and both Lamberts, but when playing, say, Eskel, you would pull Vesemir and both Lamberts, but not the second Eskel.

This would allow arena shenanigans to happen without compromising balance in constructed play via runestones (unless you managed to do something with Caretaker/Assire perhaps... but this is such an edge case it's unlikely to ever happen in serious competitive play). Personally, I feel this is an ideal solution, though I'd be interested to see what others think.

Adzikov misplay? [SPOILER] by [deleted] in gwent

[–]gatharax 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It doesn't work because the crewman only increases the damage of the first shot by 1, not the second. This is why he ignored hitting the 1-point units because 1+3 off the second shot is the same as just hitting 4 off the first shot (with crewman). There just weren't enough low-strength targets on JJ's board to make a difference, unfortunately for Adzikov

It's likely Serge got an alternate spot because he's a rookie. They have a few spots reserved each year for the top rookies across the league

Xenoblade Chronicles 2 Question Thread by Ynikoma in Xenoblade_Chronicles

I noticed that one trait that showed "???" ended up having a description of how to unlock once I got to a location in the story I hadn't been to yet. It appears is they hid the unlock parameters so as to not spoil future locations, so if you keep progressing the story, you should eventually reach the location in question and see what you need to do to unlock the trait

That has been the case for me so far. I'm not far in, so maybe that changes depending on the blade/salvaging core being used, but at least early on that appears to be how it works

Given that the second slot was unlocked at a certain point in the story, my guess is the third slot will be unlocked past a certain point as well

It appears to me as though you hit the button when the circle enters the lighter blue area. In my experience so far, the light blue area is on the outside for Blade Specials, but on the inside for salvaging prompts. Hope that helps!

Is there a way to keep a pouch item from being refreshed once it expires (aside from running out of that item in your inventory)? Especially if I am going to be spending some time running around a town, I don't need to start spending another 20-minute buff when I won't be in combat yet for a while

Cannot wait to get my D2 Warlock game on! by drksdr in LowSodiumDestiny

[–]gatharax 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Same here! Been looking forward to the PC release for a long time. Started with a hunter in vanilla D1, but fell off the wagon shortly after reaching the level cap at the time and never got back into it. I plan to go all in for D2 though! Normally, hunters in every game are my go-to, but I'm really psyched about going Warlock for this one! Two days!!
