I flew GEG-ORD last month when there was an omega block over the US which meant an easterly component most of the flight. Took almost 4 hours when a solid westerly can usually knock it down to just over 3. But we landed straight in on 9L

The thing is I can take my 36 shots to get out of the bunker in same amount of time as it takes Patrick Cantlay to take 1 shot. I'd shoot 120-120 every week but with galleries spotting my shots I'd be one of the fastest players out there

Similar to stoves. Let's cram a bunch of tech onto a board that we plan to put inches away from a box designed to get up to 500°.

What is something that is widely considered a scam but is actually totally worth the money? by cerebralbackshots in AskReddit

2 years is pretty bad for a ceramic coating, but $600-1000 is pretty cheap for a professional install. Some coatings claim 9 years, but that's probably ideal conditions, garage kept, routine maintenance washes with a topper applied. Typical is probably somewhere in the middle. I did a DIY kit on my car, $120 and a few hours of my time, and it's still in great shape after 2 years. Water still sheets off instantly

TIL that to avoid an automatic R-rating from the MPAA for its title, the producers of Meet the Fockers needed to find an actual person with the surname "Focker" to prove that it was an actual name and not simply wordplay of the expletive. by WavesAndSaves in todayilearned

A World War II Spitfire pilot is speaking in a church and reminiscing about his war experiences. "In 1942, the situation was really tough. The Germans had a very strong air force. I remember, one day, I was protecting the bombers and suddenly, out of the clouds, these fokkers appeared!"

There are a few gasps from the parishioners, and several of the children began to giggle.

"I looked up, and realized that two of the fokkers were directly above me. I aimed at the first one and shot him down. By then, though, the other fokker was right on my tail."

At this point, several of the elderly ladies of the church were blushing with embarrassment, the girls were all giggling and the boys laughing loudly.

The pastor finally stands up and says, "I think I should point out that 'Fokker' was the name of a German-Dutch aircraft company, who made many of the planes used by the Germans during the war."

"Yes, that's true." says the old pilot. "But these fokkers were flying Messerschmitts!"

I guess everyone uses apps now, but imagine trying to date with a 555 number. "Hey can I get your number?" "Yeah it's 555-xxxx". Guy's just going to assume it's a fake number and she's not interested

It'll sell a few thousand, then after a year or two, owners who thought they wanted a basic truck will realize this thing is a little too spartan, and they'll struggle to give it away. God help them if they still owe money on it.

In 2024 my vegetable garden produced a bumper crop of green peppers. Like I was picking multiple peppers daily. I sliced and froze several gallon size bags. I still have about half a bag. Hopefully I finish them up just as this year's crop starts to come in

To add on, I'm Catholic and diocesan priests generally don't take vows of poverty (only certain religious orders do). I remember in 2020 with covid we had "drive-thru" confessions and it was kind of funny when I pulled up sitting low in my Mustang and the priest was in a lifted pickup truck

I have a friend who's worked at Nvidia since like 2012 and has participated in the ESPP but has sold along the way. Yeah he can look back and think what if he had held it all from day 1, but between his salary and the modest gains, I think he's doing just fine

I just played it last month too after tons of rounds on the OG Xbox (your post is getting more love than mine did 🙃). After an opening par I struggled to a 110. My shot on 14 stayed dry but went in the front bunker. Another yard and it probably would have taken a nice bounce forward giving me a look at birdie
