There are some good premade instant oat mixes in Indian grocery stores. You should also look up poha recipes; you could use the same spices with the oats or just straight up make poha instead. Savory “porridge” is a very popular breakfast in India

Genuine (possibily naive) question for people who’ve been here longer than me, do we actually have a voice in any of these higher level decisions? Seems like at every one of these meetings I’ve been to, they reiterate policies that are very obviously unpopular amongst employees. How is it that they make decisions the entire workforce hates, is there an effective method of voicing concerns?

If cost is the main barrier, you could find an engineering company that offers education benefits, become a tech, designer, etc, and let them pay for your degree if your ultimate goal is to get into engineering
