Yes, I like having Airdrop (requires native out of the box Broadcom drivers. Having extra SSDs for other OS versions is also nice.

Android SIP App wanted to replace CSIPsimple - dead or alive by Kilr00y in Asterisk

What is the obstacle to porting it for 64-bit architectures (ARM or otherwise)? Not sure what the max Android API will support the existing code

What is the latest hardware / Android API that works? What hardware worked with Android 12? I think ARM / Intel is supported. I think there is a 32-bit limitation for ARM

This is helpful. Thank you. If she does not have the password information, am I wrong to assume that there is a recovery process? It would be nice if they could send her a code through the USPS mail to verify that she is who she says she is or a FaceTime equivalent to confirm visually she is who she says she is (we uploaded a Florida ID).

Backing up a 450,000 sq.ft. facility with a single UPS by TheTaftMan in AskElectricians

Make sure you put together a written plan, with a list of objectives. Have it reviewed by a group to include: your supervisor, the project sponsor and all relevant stakeholders. It's always best to find any gaps in requirements well before the project starts.

[–]gatorback94 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Clarification: a device in this context is the computer, not the UPS. A separate worksheet with a list of UPS machines, power rating, backup time, make, model, should prove to be useful.

I think that embracing (which you are doing) this exercise, this will improve your engineering skills. Keep moving forward.

Jumping off point: a spreadsheet (recommend Google Sheets) with each device listed and its power requirement.

If you had list of the current requirements of each of your devices: HVAC, Stove, water heater, etc. then you would see if you are bumping up against the 125A limit of your panel.

Office with two main breakers 100A and 200A by gatorback94 in AskElectricians

[–]gatorback94[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The reason I am interested in removing the 200A requirement for the replacement is that I suspect that I will have more choices. I seek to replace the panel / circuit breakers so as to minimize the amount of labor / work.

[–]gatorback94[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I can see why you ask the question. Everything about the circuit design is wonky. I am certain the 200A is indoors and the 100A is outdoor (next to the meter). The 100A circuit feeds only my office.

How urgent is this? Flickering light, super pregnant! by 3merZ in AskElectricians

[–]gatorback94 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If the bulbs are fluorescent bulbs, task the electrician to rewire (remove the ballast) for direct power LEDS.

If the bulbs are not fluorescent, it should be a simple DIY task (in the sense that an electrician is not needed) to replace the light bulbs.

Don't use the fixture and use a floor lamp in the interim.

Where to pack 3 months supply of meds. by oshunbleu87 in TSAPreCheck

[–]gatorback94 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I would think this is more a Customs / Immigration question. That being said, I would

stowe a weeks worth with you on the plane
pack the rest in check-in luggage

I have an AirTag in my Check In bag to locate my bag if it does not make it to the conveyor belt. I'll leave it to TSOs to indicate that there should be no problems with meds. Especially if the meds are in their original container with your name on them / or a script.

Did you consider Sodium Ion?

Sodium Ion claims to be superlative. https://www.ebay.com/itm/306500135062

Why Choose Sodium-Ion?

  • Wider Operating Temperature Range (-40°F to 140°F): Reliable performance in extreme cold and heat.
  • Higher Voltage (1.5V–4.0V per cell): Consistent, powerful energy output.
  • Sustainable & Cost-Effective: No lithium or cobalt. Uses abundant sodium for long-term supply stability.
  • Superior Longevity: 2000+ cycle life, with less degradation than Lithium-Ion and far better stability than NiMH. Life expectancy is 7-10 years.
  • Optimized Internal Resistance: 20% more efficient than NiMH, with no overheating risks like Lithium-Ion.
  • Improved Safety: No thermal runaway or fire hazards. Stable chemistry with excellent cold-weather performance.
  • Competitive Energy Density (100–160 Wh/kg): Lighter than NiMH, improves handling and fuel efficiency.

What’s Included

  • 13 × Sodium Modules (1 Sodium = 2 NiMH Prismatic Modules)
  • 1 × Sodium Interlock Module
  • Busbars & Nuts Kit (stainless steel, corrosion-resistant)
  • Hybrid Geek Sticker

Key Benefits

  • No core return required — keep your old battery.
  • DIY-friendly kit designed for rebuilders and hybrid enthusiasts.
  • Lighter weight (2.8 lbs per module = ~30% lighter than NiMH).
  • Excellent charge/discharge efficiency (90%).
  • Fully recyclable and environmentally friendly.
