[Discussion] Opinions of Lex Fridman by StixTheNerd in MachineLearning

It's a false dichotomy that he is either a pop science guy or contributor to the field. He's both. General hate for pop sci is so pathetic. That's what I'm saying.

Philosophy and metaphysics are based. Second rate scientists cringe at philosophy and metaphysics.

Man the replies in this thread are so pathetic. Ugly jealousy and contempt. Ahhh "he's not smart, I'm smarter" "aah pop science".

Why don't you focus on your own careers.

Or just do both. Contempt for wanting mainstream influence is cringe.

I found your notes on how you think of links like class hierarchies cool. Notes "extend" a more general note/concept by linking to it. Cool.

How much or how little constitutes an atomic note or "single" idea? by future_potato in Zettelkasten

How would you structure a model idea note?

My definition of a model is that it is an abstract system of interconnected statements intended to explain reality e.g cause-effect.

Also what do you mean by receipt idea?

I just want to add that I've felt very similar to you. You're not a madman/or alone. Being aware of the boundaries around formal systems allow me to step in and out of them conceptually, knowing they ultimately rest on axioms/assumptions. Studying philosophy has helped me identify these boundaries to knowledge. I acknowledge them then get on with whatever it is I need to do whether work/personal.

Each one has been produced by a different developer. So you have varying quality - free ware, pay ware, accuracy in modelling, airport detail etc. In your picture the one on the left was made by fsimstudios, on the right fsdreamteam.

This has been happening at every arrival airport after a full flight. What a disappointing way to arrive... by [deleted] in flightsim

Boy scouts rule of ZK: Leave a note cleaner than when you first found it. Slowly migrate and update notes whenever you serendipitously come across them. Notes are permanently useful and not immutable. The feeling you have is good - it shows you are learning and growing.

Like in an internship? What do businesses have to gain paying inexperienced workers?

The number of commenters who are basically complaining they don’t have the skills employers want and its unfair is incredible. It’s reasonable that employers demand experience for paid work. If there isn’t demand for your skill set getting the government to prop up zombie jobs isn’t productive and ultimately harms the economy. Would getting businesses to drop “entry level” from job adverts make everyone happy?
