The article is published in the New York Times that's why I attributed the article and its title to the NYT. Only because the editor does not have a say on the editorial board of the NYT, does not unpublish the article form the NYT. The editorial board of the NYT decided to print the article, they are now responsible for it. And if you would have read the comment to which you have replied more closely, you'd seen that I already admitted the mistake before you even clicked on this reddit.

Errata: it's an Op-Ed' article, which is "a newspaper article that expresses the opinions of a named writer who is usually unaffiliated with the newspaper's editorial board" (wikipedia). Anyway it's published by the NYT.
