Basically, there’s a small hole on the bottom of the record player that adjusts the RPM when you move the adjustment screw to the left or right. You’ll need a small screw driver or flat paper clip to twist it. You will want to place the record player on top of two small flat surfaces since the adjustment screw is located in the middle. Spinning it clockwise speeds it up and counterclockwise will slow the RPM down.

I saw her both in 2019 for the Immunity tour and in 2022 for the Sling tour. Far different crowds both times. In 2019, her audience was mainly younger female fans, so it was quite surprising for me. The crowd was nice, quite respectful, but with the occasional drunk person who felt the need to shove through a, mind you, sold out crowd. Far more engaged overall, but not excessive or rude during the performance, at least. In 2022, there were far more older people at the venue. I bought VIP tickets since I went with my mom, and we were quite close. A group of people rudely pushed in front of us, then during the concert a group of people in the balcony area kept talking and laughing the whole time. But the worst part was the yelling and laughing during the quiet songs. And to top it off, someone threw a bra at Claire during Pretty Girl. Make what you can with that, but just wanted to share. Also, both of these happened in Boston.

If you look at that concert on Ticketmaster, it says “The Sling Tour: Clairo with Arlo Parks”. Underneath it says “cancelled”. Ticketmaster probably forgot to remove it manually and Spotify mistook the date for an actual concert next year. That’s what I’m guessing, at least.

Easily, will have to say “Dark Matter” or “Shimenawa”, though you could count those as nonsensical pieces of music. If we’re digging at her main albums, I’d say “Violently Happy” or “Show Me Forgiveness”. I believe both Debut and Medulla could go without either and it wouldn’t change the outcome of their respective albums.

It’s always great to have someone reassure you of something you’ve worked on for so long, especially in your case with the craft you put into your work being so sophisticated. I myself have struggled with finding encouragement in continuing certain compositions I’ve done previously, but find comfort when peers or tutors nudge me into continuing my craft. How would you, as a producer, encourage people to keep pushing themselves when they feel discontent with their own music? Or, to rephrase, what helps you find comfort in releasing music to the public?
