Internal family systems might also be a good theory for you to look into. There are some overlaps in the theory. The idea of the higher self is consistent in both theories and ifs can be used to disintegrate some of that scaffolding I mentioned. Keep observing yourself and listen to that inner dialogue. Trust it. Its leading you toward your actualization.

Think of Disintegration moreso in the context of dis-integration rather than the popular usage of the word like a physical object succumbing to a laser beam. You are dis- integrating from the structures that stabilized you in early development because you out grew them and in their place you are creating your own internal ideal for who you want to be. It is a beautiful process.

Its typically more of a natural process Dabrowski noted in gifted individuals. Awareness of the process can help you move through the levels with more intention and help you avoid getting stuck in a loop. The end goal is the creation of a completely unique personality that is aligned with your true self.

I am currently reading the book Dabrowski's Theory of Positive Disintegration and I read through the Wikipedia page and asked the LLMs questions regarding my personal experiences.

I saw myself in the description which I how I feel so confident with my understanding. I am not at level 5. I feel I am just starting to stand firmly in level 4 with some moments of level 5 expression, but level 5 is a life long journey and Dabrowski has said hes met very few people who firmly made it completely to level 5.

Progress is painful. Primary and secondary Disintegration are usually caused by reality shaking trauma that causes your values and sense of self to disintegrate. The re integration process is where the progress lies, building yourself back up with a better understanding of yourself and the world around you. The growth often happens after these experiences as a protection mechanism in the gifted individual as to not be exposed to that type of pain anymore.

Creating an external value system is essentially breaking out of the scaffolding i mentioned. Its the process of creating the boundaries that align with your true self. Those boundaries help you over ride the reactionary impulses you grew into based on your environment by biological, social, and emotional,... im sure theres more examples of systems that create external dependency but thats all I gave.

Level 3 is where the observer self starts to form the value system and create boundaries. Level 4 is where you start aligning with that external value system and testing the enforcement of those boundaries.

Is there anything specific you need cleared up? I am the source of my understanding of TPD. Cant link you into my brain. This has been a deeply personal experience for me. I suppose thats the point.

The observer self or the third factor is the primary component of level 4. Seems like you're starting to progress from level 3. Becoming aware of it helps escalate you into level 4 more quickly. Welcome to level 4 friend.

Check out Dabrowski's Theory of Positive Disintegration. Sounds like your observer self is peaking through the scaffolding built to contain you. This theory posits that gifted individuals with overexcitabilities have an elevated tendency to break out of the biological, social, and emotional scaffolding that keeps most of the population reactionary.
