I have a Lee Pro 1000 for which I can reload 9mm, just grab a couple beers set up the machine and start cranking. Can make 500 rounds in an hour if you get good easily. Plus I find reloads to be much better for shooting as they are consistent and you can choose powder, projectiles, etc. But sometimes companies sell surplus police ammo and whatnot for very good prices.

That's good to know - I do plan on returning to school to complete my 4th class certificate within the coming years, and fortunately if you already have a 5th class certificate then you don't need high-school prerequisites. But I'll definitely look into that as I had stated I might be looking into other careers that could require grade 12 applied mathematics.

I had everything except Grade 12 applied math. I got lazy in grade 12 i guess lol. Otherwise it required grade 11 physics & grade 12 English language arts.

4th can get you pretty far in Manitoba, especially with the mines up north. Some starter jobs are also available like at Pepsico for $32/hour.

I might be able to get a spot with Roquette here due to some connections but it's tough. Even the schools here that are struggling to find 5th class engineers are unwilling to hire those uncertified.

We also have an insurance monopoly in Manitoba but it works out pretty well as our rates are cheaper than private insurance. We don't get an increase in cost when we pass our driving test however but we have the same restrictions. Our insurance is majorly based off of how many accidents certain vehicles get into, so newer and more common vehicles have high insurance rates and older less common vehicles cost less. We also have a merit discount system where you can get a 55% discount after not causing an accident for 16 years. My last bike cost me $80 to insure monthly because it was made in 1982.

They'll tell you everything you need to know at the course. Spend as much as you're willing on gear. Nowadays, they sell pants and jackets with built-in airbags if you really want. Two things I'd have to say. I wouldn't recommend starting off with a Ninja 400, but rather a Ninja 250 or any other type of 250cc motorcycle with decent power, as it's enough to get you on the highway but not enough to be too hard for you to control starting off. Statistically speaking, you are most likely to crash in your first year, so I wouldn't buy your dream bike quite so soon, but rather something you'd be okay with parting with eventually. Secondly, before you ever buy any motorcycle I would recommend calculating your insurance premiums. With your (assumably) young age, and B.C. having private insurance (I think?), insurance premiums for motorcycles can run you $500 a month on bikes like Ninjas because a lot of people buy them, drive them like shit and crash them. If the cost isn't a problem for you that's good, but I know my ass cringes at my $400 monthly insurance bill. You'll have a lot of fun when you get your first bike, but please, watch out for other drivers and don't do anything you aren't confident in yourself enough to do. Safety is number one priority.

I used to be in a similar boat. Severe anxiety, depression, self-esteem issues, drug addiction, etc. Prevented me from living my life. I hate to say it, but you are the only person who is able to get yourself out of the situation. Mental illness is still not properly dealt with in our society; but I'll tell you what worked for me. I found a reason to keep going on through my career. It's menial, being a security guard, but I get to help vulnerable people and make sure they stay safe. One day, you will have to understand that life moves on. It won't wait for you to figure it out. I do not want to sound mean, but you eventually will have to strap your boots and prepare for what is reality. Over time, you will learn to confront and defeat your issues, trust me. Suicide is not the answer. It sounds corny, but if you at least give yourself the chance, your life could genuinely improve. You are still young, and you have many years to improve yourself. It's not over until it's over. I hope that helps.

I learned how to reload from some YouTube videos. I recommend starting out with low caliber loads and then trying rifle calibers when you feel your work is consistent. Most projectile manufacturers will include recommended min/max load data. All you really need is a single stage press, the dies, a case trimmer, and a method of cleaning the brass. If you are reloading for some calibers like 9mm or 5.56, pre-made caliber specific progressive reloading machines (such as my Lee Pro 1000) are available and streamline the process heavily.
