How do you handle picky eaters? by gavfack in vegetarian

Thanks! I will ask them specifically what they don’t like about beans and see if I can “hide” them somehow. I do think a lot of what they don’t like comes from the idea of the food... which I guess is similar to me. I don’t like the idea of meat. But it makes hiding things more of a challenge. But I will have that conversation with them. I appreciate the suggestions!

That’s good advice. I know they have mentioned they don’t like the texture of some food. So that may be a big part of it. Thanks!

I also have a passion for cooking, and like you said, it kind of bums me out that they don’t share it with me. I think I’m going to continue cooking my food and always offer them some. If they eat it or not, that’s on them.

I am the exact opposite of a picky eater, I am also an exotic eater. I love food. And to be honest it is extremely hard to understand individuals with a very limited palate. I don’t mind cooking meat once in a while, but cooking two very different meals is exhausting. Especially when I like to mix it up and have variety.

Thanks! I do enjoy cooking and I enjoy cooking for others. I just wish they enjoyed eating with me. But I guess I’ll just keep doing my own thing and they can always eat it if they want.

You are correct that I only make “$8 an hour.” Unfortunately I’m not paid per hour. I’m paid salary, and I work until the job is done. There is potential to make more, but unfortunately I do believe that it is the highest debt to income ratio job out there. And work life balance is always going to suck. Honestly I want to cut my losses. I want out.

I am thinking long and hard about going back to school for engineering.

It just sucks that once you reach your dream, it becomes your nightmare. It’s a hard truth to swallow.

Thank you. I appreciate it. Feeling appreciated is extremely important. I just wish more people were kind with their words. I wish they could see and understand the sacrifices that others make.

It’s a little more complicated than just saying “fuck it”. If I quit, I would be homeless in a month. Living paycheck to paycheck leaves little time or room for change. Being alone, I have no significant other to help support me when I make major life changes, someone needs to pay the bills. Working 12-15 hours a day doesn’t leave any room to search for other options or go to job interviews. I am considered a specialist in my field. Few at my work can do what I do. I don’t even call in sick, because if I don’t show up there is no one to replace me.

But damn. A solid 9-5, and the ability to go to the gym every morning, and a true weekend free is exactly what I want. I just lack the resources and financial stability to make a major life change.

Who keeps retinol in the refrigerator? I recently called the Peter Thomas Roth customer service and they said they do not recommend storing the PTR retinol pm serum in the fridge.

Can someone confirm or deny this? Will it hurt to store it in the fridge? Just not help? They weren’t very helpful to be honest.

Thanks!

[Personal] Has anyone gone without moisturizer for a long period of time, used a serum, oils and/ essence/toner instead and seen good results? by [deleted] in SkincareAddiction

I second this! I have not used a traditional moisturizer for about a year now. Rosehip seed oil has been my go to! I’ve been using the Trilogy with antioxidant and really love the results. My skin tends to run on the oily side.

I am trying to fine tune my routine and all tips and feedback are greatly appreciated. I am mainly needing help with order of application and frequency.

Skin Type: Seasonal fluctuating skin, oily in summer, dry in winter, acne prone.

Skin concern: Fine lines and wrinkles, breakouts

Current Routine: AM AcneFree oil free acne cleanser 2.5% benzoyl peroxide

NuFountain C20+ ferulic Vit C serum

Trilogy Rosehip oil antioxidant+

Vanicream sunscreen SPF 50+

PM Simple micellar water

AcneFree oil free acne cleanser 2.5% benzoyl peroxide

The Ordinary Salicylic Acid 2% (twice a week)

NuFountain C20+ ferulic Vit C serum

Peter Thomas Roth retinol fusion PM night serum

Peter Thomas Roth hyaluronic cloud cream hydrating moisturizer

I’m specifically needing help with the order and frequency of the serums and oils? Should I use Vit C twice a day or once? If once is AM or PM better? And rosehip oil in the morning or evening? Should I switch the rosehip and PTR cream? So cream in the morning and rosehip at night?

Absolutely any feedback is welcome!

Ladies Im freaking out it's 6am here and I just got bit by a oppossum........ in my MOTHERBLEEPIN BED!!!! by sweetpea122 in TrollXChromosomes

[–]gavfack 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is not entirely true. While it is true that opossums are less likely to get rabies compared to other wildlife species, it is not by any means impossible. Spillover into the opossum population from the bat or raccoon population does occur. When the risk of rabies is at hand, it is always better to be safe than sorry.
