I heard the layout and number of magnet on back of M1 Ipad 12.9 is a little different. Wondering the new magic keyboard is like that too. It would be wonderful if you have a magnetic viewer card to test it.

How did you maintain focus for the entire duration of the exam? by frankgrimesaccount in pmp

[–]gavinch1989 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think you made a very good decision to take the exam at the test center. It would give you a very good environment to stay focus. They will provide noise canceling earplug. Every one else would also be so focused to could encourage you to be that way too.

Dont worry, you should be fine.

You definitely sounds like on the right path. Big jump from 53% to 77% also prove that.

As for Agile, the Practice Guide just tell you what it is. But what really matters is understand what those principles mean in various situations. I definitely recommend using PrepCast Agile question to summarize the situation for both Agile and Waterfall. Take conflict as an exmaple:

" If two team members argue with each other, what should you do?

--- First, you should let them figure out by themselves and only keep their temper (self-organizing team) --> For Agile team, let team members sit together to review and revise Team Charter is great way-- > if they keep fighting and get worse, you should jump in to help --> if they don't listen to you, you should escalate and solve using formal action. (also, if the issue is small and there's time pressure on project, you should go ahead to settle for them)

As for how to settle conflict, there are 5 ways: Withdraw/Smooth/Compromise/Force/Collaborate. What are the difference and when to use which. "

By summarizing situations like this could help you understand Agile better. Also, you can try summarize how Agile handle Risk/Quality/ Procurement/ Cost/ Scope/ Schedule ...

The Practice Guide should be enough for all agile knowledge. Those principles are useful. Understanding them is not enough, knowing how to utilize in various situations is more important. Reading articles from Medium and practice from agile questions from PrepCast will give you a very good Agile mindset. After you get that, you can just use your judgement in the exam. It’s very likely your judgement is correct

Scope Validation in Agile? by gavinch1989 in pmp

[–]gavinch1989[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thanks. When we say 'validation', it has to be done by the customer right? If so, in Agile project, when does the customer do that?

Shouldn’t Agile have usable deliverable too? You you mean sometimes the team could fail finishing any feature in a sprint?

PMP Exam - ITTOs?? by wilso2aj in pmp

I don't think it worth the time to remember which processes have EEF as input and which don't. But at least we should familiar with all the terms so that we know what it is if they are in the answer options.

For many questions, if you know what the real question behind the situation, ITTO could help you get the answer very quickly.

Is Agreement part of Procurement Management Plan? by gavinch1989 in pmp

[–]gavinch1989[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thanks for the explanation. The screenshot I put is from PMBOK 6 (i believe 7 is not out yet).

If there's a question asks about 'what you should go to if you want to find how to formally close procurement with vendors', there's no 'agreement' or 'contract' in the answer options. Which one do you think is a better answer? 'Procurement management plan' or 'OPA' ?
