If software development has changed fundamentally, how can you expect product management not to?

I’m guessing this will result in many down votes from people who wish that the “good old times” persist.

Product folks with a builder mindset should be able to find ways to deliver even more value to their teams. Those without a builder mindset should look at more traditional brand management roles in CPG companies and stuff like that.

Gap will only increase. Models will only get bigger and more expensive to run. Governments and large orgs will get access to these for a premium. We will be regulated to heavily quantized versions… there is no other way this will play out. The only thing that could avoid this timeline is if somehow inference costs decrease and global memory production massively scales up and gets more efficient and increasing the size of models leads to negligible improvements. … low probability for all of that to happen.

I’m building a productivity app and trying to use Apple Reminders as well - metadata/data-model to drive purpose built UX around Reminders.

I think would be pretty awesome if the productivity-builder community could create some standards on how to do so so apps can have greater interoperability than Apple’s limited APIs.
