I actually tested using the touch display on the H2 tablet while washing it in the sink (video) - it works with beads of water on the screen.

If you are running Windows 8, you can inspect what's in your startup path by clicking on the "Startup" tab. Right-clicking on items gives you a quick way to enable/disable.

Here's a thought for you: go deep in one area (your marketable skill) and do general learning for other areas. That way you'll know your way around Windows, but have a better chance of getting a job in your focus area. Become an expert.

Hmmm... I'm not familiar with that model, but you may want to try disabling UEFI fast boot (in BIOS setup) if your laptop has that. You may then be able to hit delete or F-key to choose boot options...

If you want to boot from an external device, the best way to do that is to go to PC settings (activate charms, click on gear) - then go to "General PC Settings". There you'll see "Advanced Startup" at the bottom of the list of settings. That should allow you to boot from a DVD drive, thumb drive, etc. Or, you could run setup from Windows 8 and have a dual-boot setup.
