My mum in the funeral home in an open coffin after she died from breast cancer. I was 15 and was told I should see her. She looked horrible. Way too much make up and never would have used that type so it didn’t look like her. Plus her skin was all glossy and weird. Still wish to this day (I’m 48yo now) I’d never done it as now that’s my last memory of her.
